Q1. Where is the NTC?
A: The NTC is located along Priory Lane in Roehampton. The entrance is not far from Roehampton Gate and is reachable from Barnes mainline station (15 minute walk) and bus routes from Wimbledon, Richmond and Putney.
Q2. Do I need to pay a joining fee?
A: No. The Annabel Croft Tennis Academy is a free to join tennis coaching service with players paying termly subscriptions.
Q3. Does my son/daughter need any playing experience?
A: No. We have classes in our level 1 category which can help beginners learn to play tennis. However, most of our beginner classes are aimed at players aged 3-7yrs.
Q4. Do I need a tennis racket?
A: Not at first. Our coaches will be happy to lend you a racket for your trial class but we recommend buying your own racket once a player has signed up to a term of coaching.
Q5. Does ACTA provide lessons for adults?
A: Not in the UK. We are a junior coaching programme only. Adults looking to try ACTA need to head to our academies in Portugal or Tenerife (www.annabelcrofttennisholidays.com)
Q6. What tennis uniform do I need to wear?
A: All players are recommended to attend wearing sportswear or some kind of PE kit to begin with. Coaches will not allow players to participate if they are wearing jeans, school uniform and particularly the wrong footwear. We reserve the right to refuse participation to players wearing unsuitable clothing and footwear.
Q7. Are there indoor tennis courts if it rains?
A: ACTA have indoor courts on specific days of the week but we cannot guarantee that every lesson will be able to use them. In the case of bad weather, ACTA offers players make up classes if the class cannot be scheduled indoors.
